Hey look! It’s the thumbs I’ll be presenting for critique along with a developed sketch of one of them! (I’m leaning heavily toward #3).

My thumbnails for this year’s Illustration Masterclass. I am doing A Midsummer Night’s Dream!
I am so creeped out by the way Oberon acts toward Titania: because she is willful and refuses to bow to his demand to give up a thing he wants, he drugs her in her sleep with the goal that she have sex with an animal and be so humiliated that she capitulate to his wishes.
I want this to be a pretty romantic Pre-Raphealite-esque painting at first glance and something that makes the viewer uncomfortable at second look.
(the first six thumbnails are from when I was emotionally exhausted from crashing out and unable to art at all.)

I posted up all of my progress shots from Tithe over at my blog!

Oil on 16.5”x23” gessoed illustration board.
(The damn thing is done and I like it a lot. While we wait for me to varnish and properly photograph this painting, have some thinky thoughts.)

Sometimes I am reminded that I became a capable painter at some point in the past year and a half.

Jay has been having a bad day and so have I. I felt that some Rosemary was the proper response.
your eyes are an ocean
your breasts… are also an ocean

The minipaintings I will be selling at MoCCA! They are all very, very self-indulgent, and doing them reminded me why I left painting on canvas in the first place.

The 3”x5” paintings are $25. The 2.5”x2.5” paintings are $20. The name sign is not for sale, because you are not Jenna Kass, I am, and there can only be one.

I’ll also be selling prints, and sketch commissions, and I miiight have an old watercolor up for sale as well. My awesome tablemate Steen will have even more fabulous art-things to purchase, and we will have candy - so come down to table A25, it’ll be a party.

My DnD character - Keyleth, a 347-year-old elf rogue, in the desert setting of Dark Sun. I’m very fond of her: as a level 4, her at-will attacks’ crit damage is 35ish when she has combat advantage.
Those are throwing knives in bandolier across her chest.
I wanted to design her out solidly so I don’t have to make it up as I go when I do her character pinup. (because I already have a dragon - now all I need to cement my portfolio in Fantasy Land is a badass elf lady.)
